Overview
The Pearson BTEC Level 2 Tech Award in Health and Social Care (603/7047/6) allows students to engage in a broad investigation of various aspects of the health and social care sector. Students will learn about the many changes that happen during a lifetime, such as physical growth or puberty and learning about people of all ages. They will gain an understanding about the impact of life events, such as starting school, divorce or starting a new job. They will have the opportunity to learn about both health care and social care services, jobs and the behaviours professionals should use when dealing with people.

Overview
The Pearson Level 3 Alternative Academic Qualification BTEC National in Health and Social Care allows students to engage in a broad investigation of various aspects of the health and social care sector. There are two mandatory examined units and one mandatory internally assessed unit. Students will select a further optional unit from the four available. The internally assessed units give students the opportunity to engage in applied knowledge and understanding tasks to develop their health and social care knowledge. The qualification is designed to be taken alongside A Levels as part of a study programme and can link to learning in A Levels such as Psychology, Biology or English. It is intended for students that wish to progress into higher education as a pathway to employment.
