Supporting those in need

Can you help to support your local food bank and share a gift of kindness to those local people in crisis this Christmas?

As it's the season of giving, we can't think of a better way to spread the spirit of Christmas than to support our local food bank. Year 7 students, Aimee and Harry went to visit West Cheshire Food Bank to find out how we can help those in need this Christmas.

We know that this Christmas will be particularly tough for many of our families and the wider community as the impact of inflation, price rises and energy costs takes hold. For those of us who are able to support, we are asking those students and staff who are willing and able, to bring in an item for our Food Bank Appeal between Wednesday 4th - Thursday 19th December. All donations will then be taken to the distribution centre for the West Cheshire Food Bank.

West Cheshire Food Bank are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, that work to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Donation boxes will be placed in The Eatery at school for students to drop off their items.

Please find below a list of desperately sought-after items compiled by the Food Bank. Please note there is no expectation that students will donate, only give what you can and are able.
